Character Skill Alchemy

Alchemy is one of the Skill that any Characters can raise. It allow to craft several Items like Magic Potions, Smoke Boob and 1 Decoration.

In order to use Alchemy, you need to use the tool: Mortar and Pestle, some Reagents and an Empty Bottle.

Magic Potions can be store in a Potion Keg. A Maximum of 100 Potions in each Potion Keg.
When you store Potions in a Potion Keg it give back an Empty Potion, retrieving a Potion in a Potion Keg need an Empty Potion.

High Alchemy can learn Glassblowing it allow to craft several glass items. To learn how to craft them your Character must read the book "Crafting Glass with Glassblowing", which can be purchased from the Gargoyle Alchemist NPC Located in Gargoyle City at Ilshenar. The book costs 10,637 golds and is consumed when you read it.

To craft Glass Items, you need to use the tool: Blow Pipe with the resource Sand. The tool can be purchased from the same NPC in Gargoyle City at Ilshenar. Sand is obtained with the Skill Mining by using the tool: Pickaxes or Shovels in any sand/beach tiles. A glassblower must be near a forge to craft glass items.

There is 2 Alchemy Recipe in UODemise, Hovering Wisp and Invisibility Potion. They can be obtained in Heartwood City - NPC Quest Giver Tillanil the Wine Tender & Tholef the Grape Tender or in Sanctuary City - NPC Quest Giver Dallid the Cook.


Alchemy Bonus

For every 33 Alchemy, your Character will gain +10% to Enhance Potions not restricted by item cap.
Enhance Potion Character Mods is capped at 50%, with 100 Alchemy you have 80%!

Enhance Potion Character Mods

The Enhance Potion Character Mods can be find on:
- Jewels - min 5% - 10% - 15% - 20% - 25% max (Looted Ring and Bracelet from any Monsters)
- 1 Talisman the Treatise on Alchemy - 15% (Britain Library Collection)
- 1 Weapon the Royal Guard Survival Knife - 25% (Champion Artifact from Lord Oaks, Meraktus the Tormented and Semidar)
- Tinkering Craftable Jewel the Ecru Citrine Ring - max 50%

Enhance Potion Character Mods is capped at 50%.

Each 33 Alchemy Skill a Character will receive 10% Enhance Potion and it stack with Enhance Potion Character Mods. At 100 Alchemy you receive a bonus of 30% Enhance Potion.
At 100 Alchemy and 50% Enhance Potion, your Character will have 80% Enhance Potion!
At 0 Alchemy and 50% Enhance Potion = 50%
At 100 Alchemy and 0% Enhance Potion = 30%

Several Potion will Increase the Effect it give when you have Enhance Potion and Alchemy combined!

Training Alchemy

There is 2 Strategies to raise Alchemy, if you plan to raise the Skill Poisoning and if not!

0 - 32.7 = Train your Alchemy Skill at Serpent Hold with the NPC Pace the Herbalist! (327 Golds)

Poison Strategy:
0 - 30 = Train from npc
30 - 45 = Lesser poison
45 - 65 = Poison
65 - 98 = Greater poison
98 - 100 = Deadly poison

Normal Gain:
0 - 30 = Train at NPC
30 - 45 = Agility
45 - 55 = Strength
55 - 65 = Greater Agility
65 - 75 = Greater Strength
75 - 85 = Greater Heal
85 - 95 = Greater Cure
95 - 100 = Greater Conflagration

The way I think I will do my macro:
0 - 32.7 = Train your Alchemy Skill at Serpent Hold with the NPC Pace the Herbalist! (327 Golds)
32.7 - 35 = Greater Refreshment (5x Black Pearl)
35 - 45 = Greater Agility (3x Blood Moss)
45 - 55 = Greater Strength (5x Mandrake Root)
55 - 65 = Greater Heal (7x Ginseng)
65 - 90 = Greater Cure (6x Garlic)
90 - 100 = Deadly Poison (8x Nightshade)
