A Character in Ultima Online is a real life person, a player.

In UOGamers: Demise all person in the world can come play for free by creating its own Account. You need to choose an Account Name and a Password. When your Account Creation is done, you will have to select the Server -> UODemise, after you will have to create your first new Character.
